I use XamDialogWindow to implement a modal dialog (IsModal = true). My question is how come the execution flow doesn't pause when the XamDialogWindow is opened and continue only after the XamDialogWindow is closed (like the behavior of Window.ShowDialog). Is there any way to enforce this behavior because it is crucial to modal dialog?
Statement A
Code to launch XamDialogWindow as a modal dialog (execution flow follows the dialog at this point)
Statement B (should NOT be executed until the modal dialog is closed)
Thank you!
Hi Jack,
Is this a WPF or Silverlight question?
WPF
I know that this was 8 years ago, but I have exactly the same issue now.
Was this feature ever enabled? It's not really a new product idea. Suggesting a control that is described as being modal or not modal, should demonstrate exactly this functionality, i.e. when it is set to be modal, execution of further code should not happen!
Please get back to me, otherwise I will have to remove existing XamDataWindow controls from my application to maintain the same look and feel for all dialogs.
