Hello Anakin,
Thank you for your post. I have been looking into it and I can say that currently there isn’t such functionality for the XamDataGrid and you have to define your data source manually. The thing you can do is suggest this as new product idea here:
http://ideas.infragistics.com/
There are many benefits to submitting an product idea:
- Direct communication with our product management team regarding your product idea.
- Notifications whenever new information regarding your idea becomes available.
- Ability to vote on your favorite product ideas to let us know which ones are the most important to you. You will have ten votes for this and can change which ideas you are voting for at any time.
- Allow you to shape the future of our products by requesting new controls and products altogether.
- You and other developers can discuss existing product ideas with members of our Product Management team.
Steps to create your idea:
The Product Idea site puts you in the driver’s seat and allows you to track the progress of your ideas at any time, see how many votes it got, read comments from other developers in the community, and see if someone from the product team has additional questions for you.
Thank you for contacting Infragistics.
Hi, Stefan,
Actually, I noticed that was once a example for what I'm asking:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ATzMapcV44
But with current Xam controls and Visual Studio, I can't do that anymore. So what's wrong? Will this be fixed and restored?
Could you please be more specific what is the issue you have? Are you able to connect your database to your project? If yes, does the XamDataGrid appears in the dropdown?
Looking forward for your reply.
Hi,
I recorded a video to show the problem, hope it helps you improve visual data binding
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ur69xkVvPBU
I have logged this with development under ID: 181527 and I have also created a support ticket on your behalf: CAS-144030-P7Y5P2 and have linked the development issue to it, so that you can get automatically updated, when a Service Release containing the fix is available for download. You can get the new version from our website’s “My IG”, “My Keys & Downloads” tags: https://ko.infragistics.com/Membership/Default.aspx?panel=Downloads#Downloads
You can also monitor the support ticket’s progress through the “My Support Activity” tag: https://ko.infragistics.com/Membership/MySupport.aspx
After investigating this further, our developers said that this seems to be an issue in Visual Studio, because we are correctly injecting the ComplexBindingProperties attribute in the design assembly. You can submit a bug to Microsoft for this.
