[Infragistics] Jess Chadwick 15 Hi - my name is Jess Chadwick, and I'm the Webinary here at Infragistics. I started here back in May of 2006 in the Internal Systems department, and then moved over to the newly-formed User Experience Guidance group at the end of that same year. It's been a fun ride, and it just keeps getting better. I've been interested in user interfaces and user experience ever since I started coding when I was a kid, but my interest was really piqued when I took a User Interface Design course in college. The one phrase that alw***mmed it up for me has been "you should just be able to look at something to know how it works." And, really, ever since then much of my professional career and my design philosophy has been driven by that phrase. Once I joined the UxG group here, I was really able to let that shine. My first major project once I got into the group was helping to completely revamp our current public website, and believe me - it was no simple task. I was able to learn a lot from it, however, as well as put in to play a lot of the best practices I had collected over the years. It was a great project, and I hope you enjoy the results as much as I enjoyed helping create it! Mere days after the initial launch of our new public website came the opening of our new offices in Tokyo, Japan. And so, back to the website to localize everything so our folks in Japan could feel at home while perusing our pages. This was quite a unique experience, and it's strangely satisfying to see your work shown in a language you don't even know how to read! Blog Email
