HI Team,
In our project we are using Infragistics 10.2 version ultrawebgrid which is not working as expected in IE9.
Should we upgrade the version? If so which version and which grid should we use?
Warm Regards,
Jayaprabha
Hello Jayaprabha,
Thank you for posting in our forum.
You have three main options in this situation:
For any of the new controls you can use two main sources for information about their functionality – our documentation and the Samples Browser that shows many life samples:
http://help.infragistics.com/Help/NetAdvantage/ASPNET/2012.1/CLR4.0/html/Web_Controls.html
http://samples.infragistics.com/aspnet/
If you need further information regarding some of the above scenarios let me know.
Thanks Alex.
Would Like to know till when infragistics can give support for the first 2 options?

First: your response to this issue is outstanding. Very clear and concise.
Second: I have the same issue. I'm running NetAdvantage 10.2 and I'd like to install the latest Service Release (Option 1) because some folks in my work area are just now beginning to go to IE9. I'm able to locate the Service Release on your website and downloading it seems straightforward. Now for the naive question. Having never downloaded one of your SRs before, are there any specific instructions on how do to so? For example, is the folder I download it to critical or may I just use the default? Do I have to reference the Service Release from my project in order for it to be recognized like I did the WebGrid control itself? Any other tips? I'm still using Visual Studio 2005.
Thanks in advance.
Hello megryan,
Thank you for your feedback.
As you already may know you can see our latest service releases in our web site - “Help > Service Release Schedule” and download them from “Account > My Keys and Downloads” page.
The Service Release itself is distributed as archived (.zip) file in which the files of the patch installer and PDF document with fixes explanation are located. The installer itself can be run as any executable file.
Once you run it just follow on screen instruction to install the Service Release.
After successful installation you will have all your assembly files (located in installation directory – “C:\Program Files (x86)\Infragistics\NetAdvantage 2010.2\ASP.NET\CLR4.0\Bin” for example) changed with the ones from the Service Release (they will have the build number of Service Release).
Additionally they will be registered in the GAC and you can reference them in your project from there also.
After finishing installation of your Service Release you will have to upgrade your project to make it use new files. You have two options here:
Following any of these two approaches you should be able to upgrade your project and use our latest Service Release with it.
If you have additional questions let me know.
