Error when updating or installing Infragistics Ultimate 17.2
posted

I am having an issue when trying to either update or install/repair Infragistics Ultimate 17.2

On anything I try I run into the following messages:

Version Utility: An error occured during download, please check internet connection and retry again.

Visual Studio Extension: An error occured during download, please check internet connection and retry again.

Visual Studio Template Gallery: An error occured during download, please check internet connection and retry again.

Any help would be appreciated.

got it resolved. it was failing to create virtual directory.I had to set the windows feature under IIS-> II6 management compatibility and then it installed fine.

        Hello Jason,

Thank you for posting to our forum .

Would like to know are you installing with the Platform Installer? The Platform Installer will encounter an error if it cannot download the MSI files to install Infragistics because it is blocked by a firewall or a proxy, or if it fails to connect for some reason.

If you are using a registered product, please try downloading the Complete Bundle instead. The Complete Bundle can be found on the Account Info page. Select your product version from the list, then choose Complete Bundle.

Please let me know if this does solve the issue.

I am using the Platform installer. And it is a firewall issue, is there a list of URLs to whitelist on our firewall?

            Hello Jason,

            Thank you for the update.

The Platform Installer fetches the installers from "dl.infragistics.com" so you should be able to have this whitelisted.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.
