The WinGridBagLayoutManager™ element is a component which offers flexible automatic positioning and resizing capabilities for controls in a container (ex. in a Form). This component uses the notions of logical columns and logical rows to provide a straightforward way for you to specify the relative positioning and sizing of the various controls being managed. The locations and sizes of controls in a container will be determined based on the following settings:
ExpandToFitHeight — Indicates whether to proportionally resize heights of all the controls being managed to fit any extra available height.
ExpandToFitWidth — Indicates whether to proportionally resize widths of all the controls being managed to fit any extra available width.
Margins — The minimal distance between the borders of the containing control and the contained controls.
In addition to the above settings, the UltraGridBagLayoutManager attaches extender properties to the controls it manipulates. The properties allow each individual control to specify layout-related information which only applies to that control. The extender properties are:
GridBagConstraint — Contains many properties used for adjusting the ways which a control is affected by the layout manager.
IncludeInLayout — Determines whether the control’s position is managed by the layout manager.
MinimumSize — The minimum size that the control should be allowed to be resized to.
PreferredSize — The proffered size for the control to be used by the layout manager.
